That’s one of your problems, the new mirrors don’t have everything that your old ones did. The new ones use common wires so powerfold is common to dipping for example, if one isn’t connected it will take other systems down to.

Where are you? Just seen...Harrogate. Do you ever come Lincoln way?

Do you have memory too? I imagine that’s not working either.

Ahhh, it’s not looking good then!

I do have memory in my car, haven’t checked if it’s working on the new mirrors, very much doubt it though!

Don’t ever come to Lincoln, I certainly would if it meant my mirrors would work as they should though Laughing

I’ll have a look through the diagrams and at my car, I’ll also see what mirror stuff I have too.

Do you have puddle lamps?

Did your original mirrors have them?

Getting somewhere now

Pink and Blue are power fold

Blk/white and Blk/Blue are heated mirror.

Second Blue, Green, White/Red are X/Y and Common earth.

So you don’t have memory motors in your new mirrors..... not a problem though as I think the motors are the same for both Disco 3 and 4.5

Second connector is definitely for the memory/dip in reverse so that the reason for that issue.

The power fold issue i think is down to the Disco 3 having a dedicated fold back module and the 4.5 sharing the X/Y and powerfold circuits. I think we could over come this by either modifying the 4.5 loom or fitting the Disco 3 loom (this is probably the better idea with additional indicator wires) to the 4.5 mirrors. If you fancy a trip down to Sleaford so we can fix, let me know.

Wow, thank you so much mate!

Can’t believe the effort you’ve gone to to help a stranger out!

It would probably be easiest for me to come and see you sometime if you’re sure you don’t mind taking a look for me?!

It’s no prob mate, it’s probably not a big job, a few hours. I’ve had quite a few of these mirrors apart now and made quite a few hybrids. My current mirrors are Disco 4.5 mounts, wading sensors and wiring with L494/L405 shells, Cameras, Electrochromatic mirrors and wiring.

Thanks mate, I’ve just sent you a PM.

Don’t suppose you’re handy with headlight wiring too? Laughing
