Is that the lights button 3 times then lock trick? Doesn’t work on all cars, it didn’t work on my MY11 HSE.

I’ve seen it done on several cars and it worked on a couple I tried it on, just wouldn’t work on mine.

It didn’t work first time for me, but persevered, then heard a little click from the fuel flap and it worked then. Though the fuel flap might be a bit of a red herring.

UPDATE
after a few hours tried it again, using the spare key, and it worked first time.
No idea why, will monitor it for a few days, maybe 1 key has priority? Who knows. Anyway it seems to have worked. So as suggested above - worth persevering.
Thanks all.2014 D4 HSE Facelift Corris Grey

Could be something to do with the BCM going into sleep mode. I wouldn’t be surprised if it should be done as the car is waking up before any other task is performed.012MY RRS 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography (Current)
