Water in steering wheel
I've had a water leak from my 2012 D4 windscreen over the weekend and it's been dripping onto the top of my steering wheel. The end result is virtually every switch on the steering wheel is not working. I took the airbag unit off and there was lots of moisture round the connectors on the clock spring assembly. I've dried that off and got my horn working again.
I've checked all the obvious fuses and I'm assuming water has got into the clock-spring unit although I did have it out and sitting on a radiator for a couple of hours.
I'm going to do a continuity check through the clock-spring but I was wondering if anyone has ever dismantled the clock-spring assembly itself.
Any thoughts o wise ones?
