Brain picking time.

Gents.
I have an auto MY06 with EGR’s removed. The issue I currently have and baffling me is it’s developed loss of power with white smoke pumping out when cold. The car will only change up or down when she wants to. If you try to kick down, you just get plumes of black smoke but no increase in power. On a flat straight, she will go up to 60mph tops. Going up a slight incline drops down to 20mph.
I’ve searched on this site and replaced the MAF and cleaned the MAP, checked the turbo actuator and that moves freely, cleaned the throttle body and changed the fuel filter. All to no avail.
Put it on diagnostics and the only thing that comes up is EGR sensor C - circuit low.
Any ideas?

Plumes of black smoke on acceleration indicates lack of air to match fuelling. Usually a split hose or no turbo kicking in. There are 3 (?) hoses that can split although the larger one is most common. Best check the other hoses or intercooler for slit.
