Underside Shield
Whilst replacing rotten side steps and brackets I noticed (for want of a better word!) a dirty great hole about a foot square in the undershield on the right hand side of the vehicle.
I've had a look and can't see any pictures of this shield as a spare part/whatever, it's about five or six feet long, covers the right hand underside from drivers footwell to under the second row seats and is bolted up to the chassis frame at the front and sides.
Can anyone help with identifying this, and/or suggestions.

This is the only thing that holds your tank in place.
Suggest you don't put massive amounts of fuel in (for weight and to ease changing)
and get one on order!

Ahhh, oh dear me, how we missed it when we got the car a couple of months ago and why it wasn't mentioned when I had it serviced shortly after I don't know.
Car was only MoT'd four months ago as well, is it not a fail?
Another 200 beer tokens then......
Looking at new ones, only seems like a few bolts - is it easy enough to change?

I’d start spraying the bolts with penetrating oil now. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
