difference between old and new oilpump

Hi

I know there are billions of topics about the old and the new oilpump on the tdv6, but I couldn'T find one where I can see the difference between them.

I bought a used d3 and now I'm rebuilding the engine. So I want to check if the pump is alreadey the new one.

Is there any chance to see from the outside if it is the new design?
The timing belt is already off my engine.

best regards
Roland

look here

https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/oil-pump-changed-155538.html

the first picture is the pump with the weak design....the part in the upper left corner is the design flaw. Weak in terms of tensioner mount.

If you do not know the mileage on your pump, change it anyway, regardless of the old or new design...
They wear.... and there seems to be a tendency that after 100k (km’s) the risk of too low pressure is becomming bigger and bigger....

Bearings can spin at any mileage, but a lot, and i mean a lot, do between 100k and 200k

Hello:

The new pump (LR076782) has the word "FoMoCo" visibly stamped on the cover. But the most important thing is that the inner gear must have a thickness of 15 mm. The first pumps were 13.5 mm
