I have been looking on a well know auction site at door sill protectors to protect the painted bit when you get in and out of the car. Mainly for the rear as my kids scramble in and out with mucky shoes!
Has anyone purchased NON genuine LR ones?
There are some hawke ones, which are quite cheap.
Any recommendations would be appreciated, I don't want to spend a fortune, just provide decent protection to stop any further damage. D3 TDV6 XS

Pigeon - Slimer posted two nights ago that he was up to his eyes in it after moving house and hadn't been on the site as a result He also said that if people were looking for stuff then they may be better to try elsewhere as he was going to be out of circulation as I recall, check his posts and its there somewhere, I'm sure he hasn't been ignoring you, just otherwise engaged

I got the Hawke vinyl ones around eight months ago as was worried that metal ones could still get scratched. I was sceptical that the vinyl would last, but so far they've been fine and still look okay (apart from someone denting the driver's sill). The adhesive is super strong and absolutly no edges have lifted even by a fraction of a mm. The wording is subtle and not too in your face.
I reckoned that vinyl may be easier to remove later on if needed, but as the glue's so good I'm not too sure...
