do i need to flush after t/c change

basically I need to change the torque converter and replace the input seal on my 6 speed auto D3, now i know that the T/C holds oil along with the cooler and the actual box.

So my question is, if i change the T/C, drain the g/box via the plug, and drain the cooler out, will this be most of the oil removed? or is there a large amount of oil stored somewhere in the gearbox that's un-accessible without a flush? i don't want to mess up a new T/C with too much old oil.

No you should be fine if changing the TC, but a flush is always a good idea.
