Advice on buying high mileage sdv6 |
|
Hey guys, sold my trusty D3 tdv6 270,000km apart from transmission issues it was pretty good
I have been offered a D4 SDV6 but it has 290,000km with good service history, very tidy , test drove and certainly doesn’t feel like it’s got high milage , would I be risking my account balance buying it ? I know there is no particular milage the cranks let go.. or do I take the risk ??

If you can get it at right price - why not. There must be money left for repairs due to mileage related age.

I’d like to assume that if the crank hasn’t gone at that mileage, then you should have confidence it’s not going to go. Just do an oil change every 6-10k and hope it runs for another 290k Defender 110 2.4 TDCi Utility Station Wagon.

Mileage doesn’t kill cars, age does It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
