Help please with people who know about wheels/fitment
Hi,
This is a "Will these fit my LR4 question" - skip the next two paragraphs if you're in a hurry but can help! The question is about offset.
I have a 2016 LR4 which I bought a few months ago and which came with new Nitto Grabbers (they're a really good tyre and look great, so I'm going to keep them). They're on the standard 20" Landmark 'diamond cut' rims.
I need to get an additional set of rims for winter tyres, as we're moving to Canada. I really like the Fuel Vapors and want to use those as my normal rims and switch the Nittos to those, then put the new set of winters on my Landmark rims.
The vendor has confirmed they will fit; my question is specifically about the offset of 35MM and what that means for my set up. Picture of the wheel below. Link is here: http://www.fueloffroad.com/wheel-sizing-op...inishID=12
I thought there was something on here with details of the JLR wheels ?
failing that, someone this last week or so was looking at a custom built AL-KO axle for a trailer and offsets were given in there.
sorry it's a bit "detail-light"..
Dean

Thanks, Philm - that's really useful. Just watched it. That said, I can't work out of the Vapors will fit the LR4 without encountering all those problems they raise in the vid. PAGODA

The lower offset means the wheels sit further out in the arches. This can give a couple of issues (theoretical), the tyres catching the arch on turning, and wheel bearing wear.

Thanks, Al, I suppose I'm hoping to hear from anyone who's fitted non standard rims and whether they've seen any impact of so doing.
In the US it seems far more commonplace, not least because the drive here seems to be for smaller rims to fit bigger tyres, etc.PAGODA
