I'm thinking this is BS...

About 6 months ago I had the stealer install the LR winch. After I got home I discovered the front parking sensors were not working. I called the stealer and they told me they probably just forgot to reconnect them and they would take care of it the next time I was in for service.

I just had my 2nd service done and regarding the parking sensors, just got this email from the stealer:

"It is all fixed and ready. The only thing that is not changed is the front park sensors. Due to an issue the were having in the US with the winch and sensor relationship and mounting most every customer was complaining of constant activation and beeping because the sensor was moving in the mount, they have instructed all dealers to turn the front system off till a fix can be developed. I apologize for the inconvenience."

I'm in the process of putting a call into LRNA but wanted to see what you guys thought.

I have the winch and the bullbar, and the front sensors are deactivated. I can't remember if this is because of the winch or the bullbar however. The winch is large, and I can see that it could cause problems.

My problem with the setup is that LR has not given me a front license plate mount. Shocked Making the installation technically illegal here in the PRK. Yawn

I can't believe they didn't provide the front license plate mount. Luckily I don't have that problem - I was provided with plate.

LR switched them all off on the G4 cars - (LR3 and RRS) and two were removed anyway on mine - I am told someone has got them working, but I am not sure who it was now.

Mine are also turned off... I've had the winch and bullbar since August of 06... Honestly I hate the rear ones also... I know where my bumper is at all times... don't need a stupid sensor to tell me...

Front sensors can be repositioned but the official LR line is that they should be deactivated as per the winch fitting instructions...
Who needs front PDC once you've got a winch fitted anyway? Laughing Laughing
