Aug 2nd and 3rd-Salisbury Plain and Marlborough + Night Run

Weekend of : 2nd and 3rd of August

This will be a navigation type adventure using Tulip diagrams which I have never written before Shocked sprinkled with a few Lat/Long waypoints just in case people get lost.......

Saturday

Start 10:30 from Salisbury (exact location to be decided)

Head out across the plain for some dust and possibly mud. take in a few of the sights (military bases etc) and head up to marlborough area to the hotel.

Saturday Evening

Start night run (optional) about 2100 and head out across the ridgeway and other lanes. (stop for a bit of a play at a small play area) then head back to hotel (approx 3 hours)

Sunday

Start 10:30 through green lanes towards Devizes. Finish mid afternoon at Caen Locks http://www.luphen.org.uk/public/2004/2004caenhill.htm

for BBQ

Im looking for volunteers to help withe the BBQ

I'll provide the Sausages and Chicken plus bread etc.

There will be a small charge for the food that will go to the forum donation

No charge for the weekend as such, but may I suggest a voluntary donation of £30 to forum Thumbs Up

I am (well, Jane is....) sorting out a hotel or two at the moment. I will provisionally book a number of rooms, if not all the rooms if the hotel is small and it will be upto everyone to call the hotel, book properly and pay the deposit for the Saturday night.

Friday night hotel - to be decided

EDIT
For those wanting to stay in the Hotel on saturday night we have reserved 25 Rooms (under the name disco3.co.uk) at the following hotel

http://www.castleandball.com/

You need to call them and formally reserve your room

Is there anyway to just do either the Saturday or Sunday, not sure I can get permission from SWMBO for a whole weekend. I only have a day pass to use at the moment.
