| Wednesday Joke ... The low cost joke . |
|
A man was sitting in the bar at Heathrow Terminal 3 and noticed a really beautiful woman sitting next to him. He thought to himself: 'Wow, she's so gorgeous she must be an air hostess. I wonder which airline she works for. '
Hoping to pick her up, he leaned towards her and uttered the Delta Airline slogan, 'Love to fly and it shows?' She gave him a blank, confused stare and he immediately thought to himself:' Well, she obviously doesn't work for Delta.'
A moment later, another slogan popped into his head, so he leaned towards her again and said, 'Something special in the air?' She gave him the same confused look, and he mentally kicked himself while scratching Singapore Airlines off the list.
He thought 'Perhaps she works for Thai Airways...' and said 'Smooth as Silk?' This time the woman turned on him and yelled, 'What the duck do you want?'
The man smiled, slumped back in his chair, and said
'Ahhhhh........Ryanair!'

We're off on Wednesday to Italy, sadly by air and not air-D3-suspension
For the first time EVER I found some FREE flights to where I wanted to go
Then £12 for a suitcase £8 to book in, £5 to have someone there to book in with £30 airport tax all for 2 people 2 ways - my free flight is costing me £120. Still not bad. Schedules wanted £600
Now all I have to figure out is the cabin hand luggage regulations. No-one answers the 0870 numbers for airline or airport and the 0871 numbers give me recorded answers to the questions I am NOT asking....
DOES ANYONE KNOW...
1. Can SWMBO take a handbag in addition to the 50x40x20cm stahtenfuehrergrippenbag?
2. Where the f k do they want electricals these days - in the suitcase like depth charges on Xray or in the handluggage like trigger devices on Xray?
3. Do I have to taste my iPod to prove its not explosive? (I made that one up )
I know I have to put my hi-jack-enabling nail-clippers in the suitcase, but my rechargeable razor? Leave the Swiss Army knife at home, but is that a detonator shaped to look like a Nokia phone charger?
Answers on a plain web forum please.
and quick! 06 TDV6 SE Tonga Green

Depends on who you're flying with...... But generally, a 'small' handbag as well as a cabin bag is generally fine. I take a laptop (Only Laptop) bag as well as a cabin sized bag & haven't had any problem for a long time
Electricals, you can put where you want. As long as they're not electrical flick knives, you should be fine with a razor and phone charger. I've never been told off for a dangerous Braun in my case.... (and I travel most weeks).
And as for the ipod, they're now charging tax on the i-pods, just because it's fruit.........
They've usualy got the regs on the company web site. Particularly the low cost flights as they don't want you to call at all unless you have to! TDV6 HSE Black, Black Wheels /MTR's(in the shed!), Black RRS front/rear LR badge (tbf) Black Leather, Black Glass, Black TowB, Shiny Tasmods, Dull Mantec, White (& Orange) Reflective D3 Sticker, Black steering wheel badge, black air intake. Optima & Traxide dual battery setup.
Need black RRS wheel centre caps.
Now with added Engel.....

Thanks Bodsy!
It's Ry@n@ir (I don't want them throwing me off ) and their regs gloss over just those points - I've scoured them. They certainly don't want you to call!
Their cabin bag sizes are smaller than the Government/airport sizes, and I've heard horror stories of officious rejection of passengers committing the tiniest of transgressions....

To be honest, I've not flown ryanair for years, so i can't specifically say what they currently do. If pushed, does the handbag fit into the cabin bag (just to get through check-in)? I've had to do that with my laptop when all the security issues were at their peak & officiousness came to the fore. They can ask you to taste liquids in your hand luggage, so take the strawberry shampoo.

see iPod above
Yep, handbag fits in cabin bag; so does camera...
Might not be flying anyway - the flight confirmation states to click on the REVIEW button on their Manage My Booking page - but there isn't one!!!
Taken screen scrapings of faulty web page... Jeez, this is hard work!
Is it easier to pay 20 times as much and fly BA First Class????? 06 TDV6 SE Tonga Green
