why does my land Rover smoke/steam from under th bonnet?  Rob ... LR3 HSE AUTO.... Peasant chaser
Flip down Next base DVD,MP3,DIVX, FREE VIEW connecting to SatNav--might as well be hung for a sheep as for a lamb

In cold weather it warms up the engine faster by buring the diesel and you may see some smoke coming out from the bonnet. It is in the manual somewehre. Also a member of avforums.com

Webasto heater starts up at 5 degrees or lower , and will run until the water temperature reaches about 70 degrees ..then it should shut off.
If it was anything like here this morning ...snowey and frosty ..then it is quite noticable. JAVA BLACK SE , MANUAL , PRIVACY GLASS , EBONY LEATHER , COLOUR CODED PARTS , SIDE PROTECTION TUBES , HIDDEN WINCH (12000 LBS) , 19" HSE WHEELS.
Toys...Freeview Tv and Radio , Dvd Player , Reversing Camera , LR Bluetooth Kit , Remote Dialing Webasto Heater , Rear Strobes , USB Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.

There is a small pipe under the engine on our disco that sometimes emits alot of smoke, can be very smelly. Is this a webasto heater???
