| Tunisia June 2008 - 'deep penetration' trip |
|
Following quite a few requests for dates, I've finally sorted out some ferry schedules and been in contact with our 'fixer' to sort out some passes into the restricted zone...
Dates are 21st to 29th of June (note these are from Marseilles, not UK) costs to be confirmed but will be circa £1500 per vehicle (based upon two persons per vehicle) including Marseilles - Tunis - Marseilles ferry, hotels and permits. Wild camps will be part of the adventure, as will route-finding
I'll post an itinerary in the next couple of days but apart from a Disco3, tent, food and drink etc. all you will need is a sense of adventure!
An equipment list will be sent to those interested along with provisional routes etc. A non - refundable deposit of £800 will be required before the closing date (10th of May)
Due to the nature of this trip, places are limited so get yer name down!
This trip is open to anyone - you don't have to be UK based for Freelander 2 Diesel, Discovery 3 / RR Sport TDV6 & RR Sport TDV8, Defender (TD5 & Puma) - available Now!
Vehicle modifications, preparation, training and equipment also available

Iain, ignoring the trips through France (which I can do at my own pace) is there anything I'll struggle with if I don't have a co-driver? Got a rough idea of the cost if I go it alone? mooie koplampen

Got a rough idea of the cost if I go it alone? cost will be the same, the highest single cost is the ferry and they don't do any single cabin discount... the only thing you might have issues with is passing yourself a beer whilst negotiating the dunes
TBH, you've got an OzTent so that's the only 'issue' covered, everything else - well, we all help each other out
WRT getting to Marseilles, although its not part of the 'adventure' you're welcome to convoy down with Chris or Myself - as is anyone else! for Freelander 2 Diesel, Discovery 3 / RR Sport TDV6 & RR Sport TDV8, Defender (TD5 & Puma) - available Now!

Saw 'per vehicle' in the OP and read 'per person'. Muppet. I had visions of it costing me three grand to go by myself mooie koplampen
