Did the Brake Servo Recall affect V8's? Got that feeling!

I took the car to a "local Indie" last year for new discs, pads and shoes all round. I would usually do it myself but was missing a load of tools.

Somehow he managed to not follow procedure, and 9 months later I had the dreaded EPB issues

----

Over the weekend I changed (new) the rear shoes once again and added grease where needed to rear brakes (there was none).
During re-fitting, I pushed the caliper back in to re-fit over the pads.

Since then I've had the pedal sinking issues.

When car is off, pumping brake pedal makes it nice and hard.

When car is on, Pressing and holding the brakes makes the pedal slowly go to the floor.

I had the MOT equivalent yesterday and had to release and re-press the pedal during brake test as it reached the floor but the brake meter was showing it getting weaker.

----

Did the brake servo issues affect the V8's - everything I see and read about it seems to only point to TDV6's

My initial thoughts were I must have pushed some crap up into the master cylinder and its sitting on the seals causing a slow leak

My brake fluid is FILTHY, but rather than doing a full flush now, I wanna see if its worth replacing anything at the same time so I don't waste good fluid.

Thoughts?

Just diesel models.

Maybe check you have good vacume.

10 mins after stopping the engine, pull the vac pipe off the servo carefully. I would expect it to hiss for a 15 seconds or more

If it only hisses for a few seconds, worth investigating.
