Ben did mine on Tuesday too. Very good job and well worth the trip up there!
I had security film, plus tinting of 5% on the boot area, 15% rear seat windows. Looks really good and ticks the boxes of increased security as well.
Ben is a top bloke. Had a great chat about mountain biking. He kindly let me make camp in his office which also meant I got a load of company paperwork up to date as well, so a top day out.

Did the same, got the lap top out and did a load of reports, It was actually quite productive without the phone going off every few minutes.
As you say top bloke - I notice the unit next door was doing stable door plaques, I was going to pop in for a look but forgot when the tints had finished, it's amazing what little businesses crop up here and there. Silver TDV6 S with sat nav, PTI and Moosed up a bit

Heading up to Midland tinting to have my security film done today, its the only chance I've had for a couple of months. Arriving about midday and looking forward to a pub lunch.

Excellent to catch up with this. Glad you are all happy - bit of a risk setting these things up, but seems to have gone down really well "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

Lovely day out in Hinckley .
Arrived 12-30ish, Ben lent me his van and we found and great pub next door to a LR dealer. Two meals for £9-00 at "The Mariner". Sat by the canal for a couple of hours and took a slow drive back via the town centre.
Only one more window and Ben had finished.
I was on my way home by 15-45.
Ben tells me that the misty patches will dry out, anyone have the same thing
The other thing is that only the front and rear doors were done as Ben said that the rear screen is laminated and the rear side windows can't be done as the side trims would make it ineffectual as it wont cover edge to edge

Reggie,
Misty patches will dry out - don't worry! Mine took a day or so to go, but now I even forget I had it fitted.
Ditto the same story on the rear screen and boot side windows with regards to not applying film, which I think makes sense.

Thanks Pete
I was a little concerned but you've put my mind at ease.
All the best

Don't worry about the misty patches - they do dry out after a couple of days.
If you are not completely satisfied - talk to Ben, his aftersales service is marvelous. I did have a minor blemish in one window that he redid. 07 Silver TDV6 XS Manual + Tubes, Tints, White indicator repaeters, Xtreme H7s, LR dog Guard and Valeao Windy-Wipers

I should also point out that Ben was quite upset with the minor blemish. The man is a perfectionist and does the job right - no matter how long it takes. 07 Silver TDV6 XS Manual + Tubes, Tints, White indicator repaeters, Xtreme H7s, LR dog Guard and Valeao Windy-Wipers

Mal : there are a few picks in my gallery under the folder "Tints". the car is a bit dirty so they're not the best pictures. I have some better ones, but will have to upload them (I'll try and get it done later today)
I think Fleur T has some pics in her gallery too 07 Silver TDV6 XS Manual + Tubes, Tints, White indicator repaeters, Xtreme H7s, LR dog Guard and Valeao Windy-Wipers

I didn't have tints (factory fitted privacy glass), only security film. I know Pete, "No Sweat" had tints done. If at first you don't succeed.... destroy all evidence that you tried in the first place!!

Pictures of the tints added to my gallery.
Boot area is very dark (5% I think), Rear seats slightly lighter (15% I think). Fronts are standard factory plus have security film fitted.
The boot area is really dark. I wanted it that way to help prevent prying eyes and unless you press your nose up very hard you will not see in. I've found it a little weird looking in the rear view mirror and it being so dark, but I have done a few thousand miles since the fitments and I'm very happy with the results.
Hope that helps.
Pete.
