Srs dash light. D3. 2005

Hi all
After a little guidance….. D3 has the red Srs light on…….. is this an mot failure??

So I’ve replaced the squib for a new one and also used to no avail, still the same fault codes which are;

B0001-1a
B0070-1b

Tried to reset the codes but come back on nearly straight away…….

I went into the live data and I’m not sure if connected but seemed strange. When I plugged both of the front seat belts in, both came up with Safety belt sensor fault and show as unbuckled ???

Has anyone come across this before, am I being an ass and the answer is simple??

Any advise would be awesome

Cheers
Steve

Just also noticed in the live data, the following message

Passenger air bag cut off switch - switch A fault

I’m guessing this is also connected, but again would appreciate anyones views

Cheers

Have you knocked the seat wiring connection box (just under the front seats)? might be worth undoing the 7mm bolt head and checking the connections...

Yes, I’ve found that and all connectors are in place.

Just a though…… are there meant to be the same amount of plugs going into the back of the unit as coming out the front ???

Also, just for info really…. Driver seat base, rear left if sat on it……there’s some dangling sensor on a bracket, is that for impact sensing or similar ??

try taking them out of the box mine got very temperamental a few years ago also check whether the wires that run tight to the seat frame are not pulled tight against the metal frame

i think mine was a combination of both it been ok for a while now but every time the wife moves the seat i wince expecting the light to come back on Laughing

I'm assuming you have manual seats as if you do the loom runs very close to the lever for moving the seat back/forward

persistence and switch cleaner are your friend with this one Thumbs Up
 please excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick,thankyou

Well, I’ve got rid of the one code, just B0001-1a still showing….. about to go under the seat and have a look.

Ok, so just to eliminate, I’ve put an old squib back in and I can clear the fault…… well until I turn the steering wheel

Me thinking a new squib and maybe worth replacing the wiring from squib to airbag?
