Fault chasing
Now working on some more issues.
Water in passenger footwell. Removed CJB/BCM to get visibility on the sunroof drain which looks good. In fact somebody has already been in there because the barbs were broken on the glovebox hinge pins. There are no headlining stains or standing water in the cable channel as seen on videos of the problem.
So where else to look for water ingress?
Second problem, errors logged for no feedback from the mirror motors. Reverse triggers the mirror dip but then they don’t return to the previous location.
Along side the CJB I find this,
The relay marked Ford mirror fold relay was hanging loose and I find two taped splices going to it. Two yellow red into one and two yellow blue. I find it hard to believe it was an official mod and could it be related to the problem.
Also curious about 3 mini idc splices which have just a short wire going nowhere.A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an MG5 EV

Dunno what fault you are chasing
The blue tape on the mirror relay, may be to send one wire to the left mirror and other mirror to right mirror. Doubt it would relate to anything

The errors are logged against the BCM which appears to be the CJB, but this is where it gets confusing.
Wet footwell is often associated with the sunroof drain which also causes problems with the cabling around the CJB.
However in this case the drain appears to be OK so where else could water ingress make the carpet wet in the passenger footwell but not be in the cable channel inside the sill?
However I now find that mirror reverse dip is controlled by the seat memory module so I am even more unsure where to look especially as the mirror motor feedback error is affecting both driver and passenger mirrors.A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an MG5 EV

Check the pollen filter to see if wet.
Need to remove wipers if it is and use a plastic milk bottle to fix
Reverse dips unless anyway. Do it manually

ABSOLUTE B****Y GENEIOUS
So it's a leaking wiper shaft seal?
Back when I 1st got the car I posted that I had problems with water around the heater fan casing, compounded by the fact that the pollen filter door was missing. The door was missing because the catch receiver on the left is broken. As that is molded into the fan casing I need to fashion a repair then make a new door
I'm not too worried about the mirror dip itself but the more errors I can solve the better.A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an MG5 EV

Is it wet then?
Basically the air intake sticks out further than the windscreen one one corner.
So water can run down the glass into the air intake.
Therefore you can glue on a plastic deflector.
See pictures below
I’m sure a small self tapper screw could secure one end of the pollen filter door. Maybe with a notch

OK, makes sense.
Had a new screen fitted Tuesday, noticed that the scuttle panel top lip is no longer firm against the glass over its whole length.
Not sure if it is justifiable a bit short of £100 to fix!
Especially if a bit of milk bottle will do it A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an MG5 EV

check the lowest guide hole on the A-pillar plastic cover. There is a TSB to cut it and cover it. If the seals on the A-pillar are no longer touching the windshield and have deteriorated then water will seep in there.

Checked that when the screen was replaced, both sides had been modded.
The pin at the top was broken as well so taped those holes over.A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an MG5 EV

This is the photo I posted in February. If anyone has a pic of the original door it would be useful but I worked out the right hand end has lip that fits into a slot so I have sorted out that end.
The kit ringed was wet and was the Parrot hands free kit so that is all stripped out.A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an MG5 EV

have all those clips on the A-pillar cap also been replaced with new washers as well?

Yes but I will have to do it again as the screen fitter was adamant that they were the wrong ones.
More likely as some had broken and he had different ones in his van. Waste of time arguing.A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an MG5 EV

I hear you. there always to tough to chase and even though we think we've gotten them all we resorted to drilling holes in our footwells so it can just drain straight through and not collect and damage the wire harnesses. We also lifted the harnesses slightly so that any water that doesn't make it to the drain holes will at least stay away from the harness.
Good luck. did they completely rule out that the windscreen isn't leaking?

I had a damned good look at the residue of the original screen sealant and there were no voids that I or he could find.
They don't remove the sealant completly but leave a thin layer. It leaves a clean surface for the new sealant to bond to for one thing. The other benefit is there is no risk of cutting the paint and allowing it to rust (a comon cause of rusting window surounds of old).
The new screen came with a new rubber seal strip across the top pre fittedA visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an MG5 EV

Hi Hairyfool
I did the fix Pete K talks about above, using a piece of butanol instead of a plastic milk bottle.
Mine was leaking through the cabin pollen filter.
Mine started leaking following screen replacement, as the plastic moulding along the bottom of the screen wasn't sealing up against the glass. To fix you have to remove wiper arms, remove plastic moulding. You will then see how water running down the screen can collect in the corner of a well. Glue or rivet butanol or plastic to cover this corner.
I also did the Nasa tape fix that the German couple cover in their you tube channel LR time. Small hole under the A pillar external trim.
