My wife has been following this ongoing saga as she has a 2019 Disco Sport and keeps asking me about it being stolen in such a fashion. Well, here in the tip of the mitt vehicle theft is rare to begin with and none of our local hilbillies could figure out the relay jump so we are safe....here.
We do occasionally visit Detroilet and other large cities so we also have a faraday pouch or two that I kept from our Bronco days. An Amazon search for sleeping batteries came back negative but I will keep checking and do that when I can find them. Nothing from Land Rover North America but as I said our thieves are nowhere near so sophisticated.

Every link i saw tracked back to the same product so I suspect a patent is in place. Hence £95 for two. Hopefully the ROI will be realised soon and prices will drop.
As an alternative for those LR are not sending these to, the ever innovative Powerful UK have this option using an alternate methodology

Got a mail telling me my sleeping batteries are on the way. Anyone used them yet? Any experiences to share?
I hope they don't go to sleep mid journey and the car reports 'snart key not found' !
The email also tells me I will receive a letter about a security software update at some stage and to book it in when I do. Gary

Yep, I had that email before xmas and they've not arrived yet, so don't hold your breath. Heaven doesn't want me, and hell is afraid I'll take over.

Batteries arrived lunchtime - email only came this morning!
As I say , if anyone has any experience with them, please can you share it? Are they ok on a long journey where the keys are static for a long time?
Thanks Gary

I went through the LR link for my local dealer the check the car and for the security.
Given it’s a 2016 and July 2016 built car, surely it would be in the age bracket.
Not heard anything from my local dealer yet.
Which doesn’t surprise me tbh. In loving memory of FA54WSK.

Yes the email said book it in after the dealers had been in touch. So In waiting for that to happen.
Are you using the replacement batteries? Gary

Anyone else had an update on these Batteries? Looking back through this thread it seems only 3 people have acknowledged receipt. They must be rare as hens teeth! Still waiting to hear here from registering back in August last year.
