I've had the BFG A/T's 265/65/18 on for about 8 months now and have had no rubbing off-road even with articulation ... least not that I could hear or see I'll double check that though.
It has made a massive difference to the vehicle off-road !
If you have rear ac or the fuel line buldge, you have rubbing at "fully stuffed up in" articulation. both of these things make a buldge in the front of the rear wheel well. 96 Disco I, 200,000 miles

I run BFG A/Ts in 265/70/17s.
The rear tyres have worn a thin slot in the front of the plastic arches.

Bushwanderer,
Any chance of a pic of rubbing 17"BFG Ats in rear wheel arch? Also would really like some MTs for my 17 rims, do you know any?? HHave Grabber AT2s on my 18"rims at the moment which are pretty good but noisy. RRS TDV8

a quick BFG vs General Grabber AT2 question: are BTGs really so much better then AT2 to justify their £40 price difference? It makes nearly £200+ on a set of 5 I am planning to buy.... TLC D4D

BFG AT KO have a stronger sidewall and are a harder compound so the wet weather performance is a little exciting.
General AT2 are a better compound in the wet and give a better feel, but will not last as well as the BFG AT KO, the General AT2 is a better quaility tyre and will balance better.
Both have good points, I think General is better value for money,. and we keep more General sizes in stock than BFG.
We use General AT2 on both the Disco and the wifes L/Cruiser, but have KL71 on my Defender 110 and BFG MT KM on the 90.

thanx Andy, this makes sense. I am still waiting for KL71 (265/70/17) thou but I am losing my nerve really....last time KL71's were available in this country was sometime in February.
by the way, did you hear about Mastercraft MT, possibly a cheaper brand of Cooper STTs, apparently available in UK, any opinions? TLC D4D
