| 2005 Disco TDV6 Fuel Filter ? |
|
Due to close down of Land Rover dealership in our area have decided to do my own servicing and sod the warranty. Went to order filters on line and was told on good authority that the 2005 model does not have a fuel filter but only a strainer on the fuel pump assy. Can anyone out there verify this as it seems a bit strange that there is no filter/water seperator in line. Any help would be much appreciated.

If a lisenced mechanic services it , you wont void your warranty.
Thats interesting about the lack of fuel filter...

Hi
fuel filter is located just behind the engine (access from underneath)
Part number is LR007311 (old number WJN500025)
change interval is 30,000 miles here in the UK.

If it doesn't have one then I got charged $150 at a service for nothing.

Found my missing filter. Exactly where you said it was Steve. Cost me $85 ex Melbourne for non genuine Coopers filter. Origional Delphi filter was going to cost me $150  from Perth. Where do you get your filters from ianv ? Thanks for all the help lads, much appreciated.

Hi Tut,
I bought mine in Alice Springs before I moved south. I have had a shock in the ACT as the parts seem to cost 2 or 3 times as much here as in Alice Springs and the service has been average to poor as well. Thinking of going back!!
Either that or I will get a big box of parts in from Alice Springs.

That price I quoted($140 ) was for one I bought From Black Forest Land Rover as a spare before the Simpson trip in November 2006. I think I was charged that much for one at a service. I reckon I have been ripped off I will try and find the service receipt to verify. It was also a Ford dealer so that explains a lot even though it was $200 cheaper than having it done in Adelaide.

That's $135AUS. I found the receipt for my filter and it was $141 + GST= $155 I must agree that the LR guys in Alice Springs are great, know them well.
