Saturdays would be best for me. If it is going to be in the Mornington Penninsula just dont start to early please. Going on a few trails afterwards sounds like a good idea.

Hi Shawn and Tristan, sorry to have not replied sooner but received no notifications of any updates....and have not opted out, so not sure what going on...?
Anyway, in the absence of better ideas (all welcome...??) a Christmas in July get-together seems like a reasonable excuse:
Any particular week end in mind ?
Saturday 5th/12th/19th/26th
or
Sunday 6th/13th/20th/27th
Location: Winery on Peninsula or....??
Start time....12.30 for 1.00 or....
If we can get some positive input on the above, I shall be happy to check out a few alternative venues
Regarding checking out some tracks, am not aware of anything appropriate close by - suggestions...? Also wonder whether it might be better to keep that for a separate occasion??
Please let me know what you all think?
All the best,

Hi DJ,
Good to hear from you.
Now need some suggestions for suitable dates and times - I would tend to prefer a Sunday lunch but am not overly concerned if there is a preference for a Saturday...
However if this get together is to happen, some dates need to be nominated - unless all interested are available for any of the dates suggested - in which can should I just pick one....?
Please help....

Andy,
The 5th of July is no good for me, but any other Saturday after that is OK. I would still prefer a venue with some trails near it

Hi Shawn,
Good to hear from you - and to have some progress with getting towards an acceptable date.
Do you know of any accessible tracks in the area....?
While it could be fun, it might be better to find whether any others would be interested in combining a lunch with a bit of "tracking" or whether to look at planning such a proposal as a separate event - added to which some may be in to serious/difficult tracks while others may be rather more conservative, and the first meeting should give us the chance to explore that aspect.
In principal I think that it is a great idea but feel it might be better to meet first....what do you think?

Hi andy,
Am pretty free most Sats and Sunds although am planning trip 1st 2 weeks July while wife and daughter are in UK. Barmah Park is excellent while Dromana Estate is good also. You would have to book either of these. Notice that some people are after trails down here. Can't readily think of any. Hope to catch up soon.

Hi Julian,
Sounds promising - like to swap that TDV8 ?......look good in my Disco...
Regarding date, have asked Martin to tell me how to put up a poll - hopefully when I hear we can put up the options and let people tick some boxes...
As for booking, I agree. I did make tentative enquiries with B Park a few weeks back and was ok for a Sunday about 10 days ahead; if the number interested is 5 or more cars would clearly need to book a couple of weeks or more in advance.
Hopefully will get some more feedback plus assistance from Martin.
All the best for now,

Hi folks, have received advice from Martin on adding a poll, so please watch this space as I shall attempt to add one (probably to the first post) over the next couple of days (too late tonight) - with a selection of options to choose from - then maybe we can see where to from here...?

Have now added the expression of interest registration - as you will see at the top of each page.
Christmas-in-July meeting for a winery lunch (arrive 12.30 for 1.00pm)
Day options
Saturday 5th/12th/19th/26th
Sunday 6th/13th/20th/27th
Please register your availability for any or all of the days
As only 3 choices can be entered, I have limited it to the last 3 Sundays - but you can still express your preference via the poll at the top (cunning....!)
If we get sufficient interest expressed for any given day (days...?) we can then settle on a venue and the best method of making a booking.
Over to you!
Thanks,

Hi DS,
If you (or any one else for that matter) have time and fancy getting together over this week end - if you are still down - send me a pm; we have to try and look after refugees from the soggy North when they venture down to civilisation...
