Hi all
My sat nav 'box' is located under the front passenger seat however it contineosuly makes a bleeping chirping sound (please no jokes about birds under the front seat!) The only way i can describe it is similar to when you have put a cd into a disc drive and the computer cant read it.
It is that loud that i can hear it when i am driving and its starting to drive me mad! The system works fine and I've tried ejecting and reloading the disc a couple of times...
Anyone come across this before?
Any ideas?
Cheers

I get the same noise on mine - I presume it's the DVD being read (sounds like a cd/dvd drive stepper motor).
I've not found a way to stop it - but find that having two children in the disco, or failing that, a decent CD turned up loud will take your mind off the noise ... _________________ Rob aka gringle

Yep, kids and loud music help but I'm sure its not 'right'
Anyone else have this problem or are we just the odd ones out?!

Mine is the same, but I can't hear it when the car is moving. _________________ Silver TDV6 HSE
