Hello all,
I have a 4.0L V6 petrol LR3 (Discovery 3) and have been looking at winches. The hydraulic winches look interesting (but I can be dissuaded if this is not an option) from Mile Marker. I want to mount this on the ARB Bull Bar.
So questions are:
While the Mile Markers fit in the same space as the Warn Xd9000 or XP9500 that the ARB bar was designed around?
Second is the only fittings listed for the steering pump are for the Disco 1 or 2. Anyone know if the same fittings will work on the D3? or might the fittings for a Ford Ranger or Explorer work since the V6 is as far as I can see more or less the same Cologne V6.
If electric which out of the bunch that would fit the ARB bull bar be the recommended one? Looking at the weight of the vehicle it would seem that the 9500 would be best.
Thanks!
Lorna

christyler is your man. He's fitted one of these, and a lovely job he did. He's posted on the subject. Have a search for his posts.
cheers

I have an electric winch from warn called tabor with 12k rating, it's an entry level winch but it's quite strong and the size of it is almost like the 9.5k warn winches

Yep Chris Tyler has a very neat installation, complete with wireless remote control. He uses the power steering system as power, but may have an improvement to that under development. Silver TDV6 HSE
