| 4x4 meet in Germany - Its a go! |
|
Hi,
Finding a suitable 4x4 venue in ‘Green’ Germany isn't easy but after a tip off, we have at last found one. It’s run by a Dutch couple at an old Dutch Army base in the Weserburgland region of Germany (If you looking on a map find Kassel and then Hannover between the two runs a river called the Weser).
The site has camping facilities, a bed and breakfast setup, and washdown point plus for those of you who don’t want to use our own D3’s they have a 90 and Hummer for rent. They have 50 hectors of off-roading land and provide a very helpful map giving routes, marked Blue (easy) Red (difficult) and Orange (extremely difficult).
We spent about 4 hours driving around the site and it only cost us €15.00.
If anyone is interested in a D3 meet up then I am more then willing to arrange everything, all I need to know is roughly how many would like too come along.
If you would like to make a trip out of it the Herz Mountains are not far away from the venue. The website is: www.fpmammut.de, unfortunately is only in German and Dutch but should anyone have any questions I will be more than happy to help. Stadt Panzer power

Quick update.
The event is now looking at taking place on the 6-7 Sep 08 at the biggest play ground in Germany. We are planning to meet up at 10.00 on Saturday and call it a day around 14.00 on Sunday.
The cost is as follows:
30 Euros for the whole weekend (car)
39 Euros for Saturday (per Person)
69 Euros for Sat & Sun (per Person)
19 Euros for Sun (per Person)
The 69 Euros offer includes full catering (Sat lunch and dinner, Sun breakfast and lunch plus all drinks)
The camping fee in included so all you will need is 50 cents for the shower.
The idea is to have a big camp fire on Saturday evening with music and a beer or two!
I've got my local Land Rover dealer involved which has enabled me too book the ground, so it'll only Land Rovers that will be out on that day. My dealer is also publishing the weekend and expects a good turn out.
All those that fancy making the trip please sign up. Stadt Panzer power

Just a quick up date.
My local stealer just sent me an email stating that he has been really busy and so far he has 80 people interested in joining in.
Space is not going to be a problem as it can handle 300. Stadt Panzer power

Just confirmed. Looking forward to it.
We'll take the EUR 69 deal. What's the plan for paying, Ian?

So everyone, had a meeting with my stealer and we are now putting the final details into place. I expect that by the time I get back from Italy everything will be sorted as regards to payment, timings etc. But I'll keep you all posted. Stadt Panzer power
