True indeed...I haven't had the nerve to go outside and see what mine looks like now after the rain
It did look flipping wicked for two days though
I think a hose down and a wipe with "quick detailer" should do the trick.
, I'm so bored today. I might have to buy something, where's Nick's number? Keeping it Claret and Blue

All this has got a bit heavy for me.
Initially thought just about dumping the sponge & chamois for a mitt & towel.
then thought about something to take off the gunge.
I'll be developing in to a "Detailer" with all this info.
maybe I'll just go & get my sponge out of the bin
or
pay the professionals ££££££££ to do it for me. Blessed are the cracked, for they shall let in the light.

One step at a time ron
Ditch the sponge, pay out for two buckets and a sheepskin mitt (and the towel) Use the clay bar & lube (gently) then polish over with your black n wax stuff you've already got.
Just getting rid of the sponge will help dramatically reduce any increase in the swirls.
Sorry got a bit carried away before...... why the two buckets?
is it just for copious amounts of clean soapy water? Blessed are the cracked, for they shall let in the light.

One bucket for soapy water and one bucket with clean plain water.
Dip mitt in soapy bucket, wash top half of car a panel at a time. in between each panel, dip the mit into the clean water. (don't drop the Mitt INTO the bucket as it could pick up all teh grit at the bottom of the bucket) Any bits that you have picked up in the mitt, should have come off if the clean water bucket.
Then dip into the soapy bucket & do the next panel.
The problem with the sponge, is that it keeps all of the dust & tiny stones in the sponge & you then grind that into the paintwork (causing the swirls).
The two bucket method really helps.
It's cheap and it's easy to implement (once you rememeber which bucket is which....). Your Mrs may look at you a bit strange at first when doing this, but it really does help to reduce any more swirls.
