I'd like to say it was me, but not on this occasion
since replacing our two 300 series Discos, i've been trying to uphold the Disco wave with the new D3. Upto now, not had much success - only two returned waves out of about 18 different LR vehicles .
That was one of the things I enjoyed about driving the D1's - getting a wave back from another D1, D2 or Defender or older style LRs - D3 ownership seems to say to people - they're to snooty to wave.
I'll continue my crusade to get D3 owners waving back
Keep on waving

I too have been trying to 'cultivate' fellow D3'ers to wave, one guy in particular with a personal plate on an XS I've seen glancing at my D3, gave him a nod as we passed about 2 weeks ago and got one in return, last week there we are on a converging course, right thinks I here we go, full wave coming, hand up nice and early, big smile and a nod and - nothing- miserable git, home I go, mumbling away to myself, park outside, notice wife has parked the D3 where she usually does and remember I've just stepped out of my sons Volvo! Over here in Germany the Germans are getting use to me giving them a nod or a wave and some of the local LR owners are even replying which is good. Although there is one particular lady that thinks she well above the rest of us in her FFRR. What does she know??? MY08 JAVA BLACK HSE,

I was in Hamble over the weekend but didn't have any opportunites for waving...but will next time regardless. Very Black 07 HSE. Sometimes with added mud. Sometimes towing a boat. Always grinning.

Still some way to go on the waving front here. Got a wave from a Discovery 2 the other day but apart from that have only had one back from a D3 in four months!

When I've got the expo rack, CB antenna and waffle-boards on the roof I often get nods and waves from Defender drivers (and horrified stares from school-run mums who got a D3 when the XC90 lease expired), but when travelling vanilla (with the RAI as the flake in my 99) I rarely get a second glance. Don't Panic! Everything will be fine.... inflation is only 2.5% 3.0% 3.3% and the flying pigs are carbon neutral

Very rarely used to get any when it was naked.Post rack , woodburner fitting etc they've been plentiful mostly from Defender drivers.Even got a full flash & from a UK reg Def 90 the other morning.I do get the long stare as I meet D3 drivers who have that " What the has he got on that " type of look. Generally I give a wave or flash at anyone that seems to be anyway enthused about their LR's. Don't take life too seriously ..... it's not permanent
