Can't really post the pricing on the forum, seeing as I only look after SA, so sorry about that.

The base maps can't be selected on the fly, you need to change a jumper on the box itself, but it's not a difficult or time-consuming task.

Hi guys

I'm not technical at all, but following the whole map vs box posts I've read to date, I'd like to check my understanding (or lack of Embarassed ) about effects across TR programs.

It seems that with a remap, the 'normal' mode is adjusted leaving the other TR programs standard. The box affects rail pressure, so is it reasonable to assume that this would then affect performance across all TR programs ?

Any other folks beside Scotty got further reviews/comments on the box ?
What do you mean it won't go there ?

HI AJ

Yup, there are a couple other TTbox users - I just nudged them to provide some input, so hopefully we will see their perspective soon.

By the way, you are right about the TR - the remap only works with the "normal" mode in High Range, ie. all TR settings off, where the Box will work all the time. Whether this is positive or negative is a good question

Let's assume for a minute that the TR is actually optimized for all the various terrain types (I know I also believe in the Easter Bunny Laughing ) . Surely changing the power output up , or down , for that matter will effect the parameters that have been set for things like diffs , throttle travel etc .

If I understand the TR correctly - there are no special settings for normal high range mode , so a remap there is not really an issue

The box (any box I guess) will just increase the available torque.

The rest of the settings for TR are adapted thousands of times a second according to inputs from a multitude of sensors on the vehicle, so exactly how much torque is available shouldn't change the characteristics of any TR setting.

Interesting topic, though, Alice Thumbs Up
you bored this morning or what?

Thanks for comments guys

I was also concerned about effect on TR, but guess what Baben says about it really only increasing torque makes sense ...although I would assume Kw as well ? Biggest concern for me would be steep descents using engine compression being impacted negatively (and no, definitely not using HDC Rolling Eyes ) ...? Any comments or ideas how this may come into play ?

Thanks
