Hi CW,
Great pics! You've a fine eye for composition. It makes me wish that I'd been there.
Just one question, what was the two wheel LR?
Best Wishes,
Peter

Read my post for the 29th
Also a response from one of my LR buddies
Glad to hear you had a good time up the Flinders.
I've done Skytrek in my 98 TDi and also in the TD5 ................yes its
a good track.
Billy Goat Ridge at Bendleby Ranges (www.bendlebyranges.com) is a bit
tougher I think. Some really nice camping spots as well.
Willow Springs has an RAA a test track as well and I thought it was more
interesting than Skytrek...............should have told you about it
earlier hey!
We'll just have to return to try them all S White, TdV6, air suspension, 110ltr Long Range tank, Kaymar wheel carrier, aux. battery, adjustable cargo barrier, LR snorkel(waterproofed), reversing and front camera, Cooper tyres and tyre sensors, Codan NGT. VKS-737 Sierra2367

Finally got some of our pics uploaded - see http://picasaweb.google.com/simon.arch8
A great trip - great to meet so many of your face-to-face finally.
Flinders Ranges are fantastic. Our other best part of the trip was when we stopped at Strzelecki Crossing on the way to Cameron Corner on the way home. The middle of nowhere completely on our own.
See you all again soon!
cheers,

Excellent pic's boy's.
Simon, apart from the 1 flat tyre that I could see, were there any other problems on the trip? Did all the D3's come through the trip without any unecessary bongs?
Cheers What's the point.... it all comes out in the wash anyway!

1 flat tyre that you saw, and a broken front-end on our car from hitting 2 roos is that all I'm aware of...
Mind you - there is still a group including Norto and TDMP out there...
cheers,

G/day all from Birdsville
Thanks to everyone for making it a great weekend in the Flinders Ranges.
TDMP and myself and two Toyotas crossed the Simpson last week
Tristan bounced his D3 off a sand dune and punched
a hole in the plastic side tank on the radiator.
It took 4 hours to remove the radiator , plastic weld it with a screwdriver we heated on the gas and replace it.
It made it the 100km into Dalhousie without anymore drama.
He has ordered a tank and is waiting for it to arrive in Mt Dare......could be a while Peter

Peter - great to hear from you. Sorry to hear of Tristan's incident, but great work on the repair! Looking forward to hearing more - so the D3's otherwise handled the Simmo well?
cheers,
