Shrinky that really does look the business. So what have I bought! They are genuine LR (see the link above from ebay in previous post) but as YB says they are stick on not strip down like Monkey's (which also look great!).
To be honest I am pretty sure they will make it look good either way 56 Tonga Green HSE.

I've been looking for info on this for a while but I've always been stumped by the top switch panel...I was sitting in a RRS last week in the dealers and I didn't even realise that it had the square corners
Nice work gents....
Nick - any chance of putting up some part numbers (and maybe disco3.co.uk prices?) here so that you don't get a load of e-mails from everyone?
I have a feeling it's going to be a bit expensive, but it's definitely on my wish-list....
1. Center console LH and RH trims (walnut)
2. Center console upper trim (only available in bright silver??)
3. Air vent trims LH and RH (walnut)
4. RRS switch panel (2 buttons on each side) dark gray colour
Basically a 'TLO special' kit (as per the black badge kit) with everything included

Take a look at this US Ebay item. This is the first molded factory-type I have seen and the price is great.

Nice fitting kit. Judging from the installation video it is still a hairdrier and stick on job like the LR genuine kit.
With my installation video the script would have read
"first pull on each side of the centre console trim like the F r feels like its going to snap. Hear a genuine snapping sound and yourself thinking you've cracked your dash in half before realising its just a metal clip" "its probably a virus, you'll be right as rain in a few days and if you're playing sport try to favour the other leg"

Wow - thanks all! Monkey - good work - like that. Also like the stick on ones YB.
Think would probably go with Monkey's style as I prefer the colour for my combination - would echo the above - Nick - any chance of some prices please?
Thanks very much TDV6 SE Auto, Cairns Blue

Mine ('08 MY) is just like the one in the pics from Monkey Hanger - had to "special order" it as most D3s here don't have it. I think it really does a lot for the interior.
Now for the problem - the upper portion of the center console (silver part) was scuffed upon delivery of the vehicle and I pointed it out to the dealer. They said they would replace by just swapping out with another D3. After a bit of back and forth they finally went to do the swap and realized that the entire thing is one piece with the center wood stacks. Since they don't have another D3 with the same wood, they haven't done the swap and they tell me they ordered the part a long time ago but here I am four months later with no replacement!
Can anyone tell me if what they told me is correct? Is it true that you can't replace the upper silver-colored part without replacing the wood columns in the centre console?

Sorry Hernan...I forgot about you .....that makes three of us that like the MY08 wood trim....not bad from 4300 registered users
I seem to remember seeing a picture where the side panels were separate to the main silver 'H-frame' in a thread somewhere here....I think the photo was from eBay or somewhere like that, but I can't find it now
If what I've just said is wrong and the dealer is just being a bit daft and insisting on finding a centre panel that matches the air vent panels, then just make them swap ALL PANELS over for a matching set. 2006 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

I specified the straight grain wood trim when I ordered my car, car was delivered in December minus the wood trim, this has been on order since then, still haven't got it
LR Cust Serv are on the case, they tell me the centre 'H' bit that the wood fits on to can't be found anywhere, worldwide I am told this is now on priority order, they have even been onto the suppliers and haven't been given a delvery date, the most annoying thing is that apparently all the other bits are in stock at the dealers but they are still waiting on this one part I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.

This sounds like an absolutely splendid idea. Definitely worth, what I am pretty sure to be, the high cost. I think it adds just a bit more class to our already classy cars.
