I had the same problem with the radio of my S-model not responding and in my case i had to remove the fuse (think it’s fuse number 54) to get the thing to reset.
With the last service they replaced the complete radio without asking any questions. Speak to your dealer as this is a known problem.

Is this a loaded question

I have an 08 S model with the same radio bugs Sometimes the radio won't switch on, other times it won't switch off and sometimes I have no volume control on the system. I have also noticed that my clock loses at least 1 minute per week - very annoying!
Has anyone had a satisfactory answer from dealers or LRSA with respect to this?

I wasn't going to mention this, but now that you have, mine's not accurate either.
Advanced it 10 mins, to 5 mins fast a couple of months ago. Now 5 mins slow again
First slow clock I've ever had.......shall continue to use the "President" for real time ! ( + 1 sec. per month ) Disco3.co.uk ; We all know nothing about something
Who's lookin'

Update on the new software, it doesn't work
I used the CD player for the first time since the upgrade and it won't recognise the disc unless you eject it and put it back in and then sometimes it will play 1 track and other times it will do upto 6 or 7. Everytime you switch the ignition on/off it comes up with a CD fault. This must be the new software as it was fine before.
Back to the dealer for a new head I think.

I have been having the same problems with my radio. Damn thing got confused when playing a CD about a month ago and would switch off or on or even eject the CD. After the second time of switching the ignition on and off and removing the key the thing seemed to come right. Noticed that the radio sometimes doesn't switch on when starting the vehicle, have to push the power button to get it to work. Yea, I know someone is going to say you always have to switch it on to get it to work! Midrand have ordered a new radio so hopefully when it arrives things will be solved. The clock gained about 5 hours over night; forgot to mention this at the service, hopefully the new radio will resplve this issue as well.
