Surely on something as wonderful as the D3 (HSE) LR could have sorted out that little problem. It is a bit naf to have all the bells and whistles only to find the pea has dropped out of your Whistle

I have a Navman S90i but was thinking fo going the snooper route Shocked Embarassed

Anyone been that way??

2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 S Manual Java Black

just read this topic, there is a site called pocket gps world forum that supplies the camera sites for £19 a year. just been looking at this page
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/subscription.php
and down the page under land rover, says its possible but you will have to burn your own dvd using 3rd party software.
hope this is of help. i dont have satnav in my landy, but have it on my N95 phone and with some software and the download you are able to use the fone as a speedcamera/satnav all in one. this site also supplies updates for many satnav devices that show camera locations.
Smile

lad - the information on Pocket GPS World is out of date, as it refers to the BMW based sat-nav used in the FFRR up to 2006. If you look in their table, the instructions are the same for Land Rover as for BMW (plus Mini, Rover and Rolls Royce).

So it is not valid for the Denso/KIWI map format used on the D3/RRS/Fl2.

As a longterm user of an Origin b2, I would not like to have the speed camera stuff on the D3 SatNav.

Like having the tumble-dry in your washing machine - clever and space-saving, but reduced function in both.

The b2 gives appropriate warnings dependent on speed / direction / motorway or not and gives running commentary on Specs. AFAIK There's no software in the D3 to present the camera locations any other way than a "blob" on the screen.

And you can update the b2 as often as you like - camera locations DO change...

I'd look at every speed limit sign and even slow down if they were like this

Richie, Rolling Eyes

It's not a case of wanting to be able to speed at will, BUT if you have to travel the M25 stretch between M40 and A3 and return everyday as part of the daily 120 mile grind to work, you realise what a saving it can be to know which of the many cameras is waiting to say Very Happy smile and photgraph your a Censored e as you slide past... Shocked My licence is essential to me in work as well as personal life and after 35 years I have gathered my share of points but am not a complete lunatic.

Strangely and funnily enough SWMBO has said I am driving slower, and "more considerately" in my D3 than my 300TDI. Embarassed Possibly another year older has helped Whistle

Oh BTW, she is from Denmark - not my SWMBO, the fit bird in the photo.... I think and it was some campain the town had to get drivers to slow down. Agreed I would also read every sign if it was supported like that (she doesn't look like she needs support tho Laughing ) but here's an intresting thing. There are more accidents in Norway in the summer than winter. Why? Because guys are concentrating on the nubile scenery - t Censored s and a Censored s, squeezed in tight clothes, (or less clothes) rather than driving so inevitably they rear end the driver in front. God I loved working over there. Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Take it easy stick to the limits(ish) and life goes on......
