Hi Disconottouareg,
I am also looking - along with many RRS, Jag, Lexus, Corvette owners - and have not found a way yet.
Problem is that the information is contained in proprietary file formats (.KWI and .IDX) which I have no way of reading or editing.
Datawest seem to have a KIWI viewer/editor and I have sent a request for information to:
http://www.datawest.co.jp/en/navi02.html
but are not hopeful since they only take requests for information from companies...
Cheers, Pieter Boks are champs

C'mon, you bought the D3. How about you register under a name that makes clear where your loyalty lies? How about "ThoughtAboutTryingA D3?
Welcome, TATA D3!

All the data is loaded from DVD... you'd have to change this each time a camera location was changed... the memory in the sat nav unit is far too small to contain a database of speed cameras... plus you'd have to have a very long cable (and some way to connect it) in order to connect the unit to a computer to update any camera POI's.
A separate GPS enabled speed camera warning device is what you need... or as Dom says, get a TomTom and enter the world of daily map updates, speed camera database updates (fixed and mobile), etc etc.

Spending £40k on a car is one thing, but surely nobody can still afford the fuel to drive over the speed limit, can they? Going, going...... Gone!
Carbon footprint? I neither know nor give a damn

Satnav manufacturer is Denso
This has come up many times - search the different forums and you will see the same story everywhere - nobody has managed to update the KIWI files on the DVD. Boks are champs

I believe that the nokia navigator files are also kwi and idx and you can download speed cameras from route 66 so i wonder if any clever dick has tried to make up a new dvd for the d3 with the navigator files from navteq which is now owned by nokia. Discovery 3SE tdv6

I drive all day throughout the country, bought a Garmi 610T last summer, got static and mobile camera warning, along with blue tooth so I can dial and recieve calls through me sat nav, view pictures, use sd card and play your music through it and all kinds of gizmo's
Also has traffic updates for life (no subscription needed) and automatically re-routes you if a delay etc, very very good.
Now been superceeded by the 710T so can get the old one now from argos, pc world for £149.99 (pc world) or £169.99 (argos), thats over £100 difference from when I bought mine.
I know this coz I had mine nicked a fortnight ago and have just bought the same again this week !!

The drawback with the Navtech software would be the ability to update regularly enough. The location of cameras is changing all the time.... with Tom Tom they produce weekly updates, including mobile units, that you download via the usb cradle Powered by............................
.
I've been accused of vulgarity. I say that's bullshit
