| Genuine LR items for sale in Perth, WA |
|
I have swapped the genuine LR "A" Bar and LR driving lights (no wiring loom or switch is included ofcourse!) with an ARB winch bar and Light force spotties. Items are excellent condition. (Car has done 32000km, 2006 build)
If anyone is interested in the LR items PM me. I'd prefer to sell to someone in Perth (just easier) ....if you are over East and are prepared to arrange the courier at your end - well, different story!!!

BlackPerth was last seen heading north of the Flinders Ranges and hasn't come back yet. You may need to wait until after the school holidays are over (or the beer supply runs out). Jim Dowell

I've got a bukshee switch that is the correct one for the the Land Rover spotlight system. If you want it let me know an address in Perth - it shouldn't cost too much to post from UK. I used non-LR spotlights and used a Carling Off- On -On switch that fits exactly in the space where the LR switch is designed to go. If you are not using the LR harness, this is the way to go. See pic in my gallery for switch position.
You could use a Carling Off - On switch but if you fit secondary spotties on your rack, you can wire into the same switch.
I couldn't find anyone to sell me the harness without buying the full LR spotlight kit.

Black Perth,
I fitted the A bar of Saturday afternoon, took some time taking the bumper off (and nearly killed me drilling holes into it). But it's done now and looks great. Thanks for the offer to buy them, I really appreciate it.
All, Bill Wright,
Does anyone have a photo of the dash switch, and info on how to run the wires to it?
Regards,
Darryl.
P.S. Will post photo soon. 07 TDV6 S Lugano Teal

Have a look in the photo galleries of Wiggs or Gareth. I think one of them had a picture of the LR switch in position. There's a picture of the Carling switch in my gallery. Same position as the LR switch. Wiring harness - I haven't a clue about LR one but if you use a conventional/Carling switch, a basic spotlight wiring diagram will suffice. Someone on here will see you right.

Darryl,
There's a rubber grommet in the firewall where the clutch linkage goes through in a manual - you can run cables through that. It's accessible from the engine bay near the spare battery compartment box.

Top tip for penetrating the grommet- get a welding rod (thinnest gauge) make a hook on one end,lay your cables in it from the engine bay flatten the hook and tape it with insulating tape to stop it catching. Poke it through the grommet and pick it up from inside the dash. See post by Gareth for confidence check when removing dash panels.
