Thanks for the offer Bodsy but need a cool box anyway for hols in this country (now I'm no longer a student I can have proper hols!!!). Going for the Halfords 35 ltr one at £50 (s'posedly half price), should do the trick. Found even in trips in S Spain in summer they were good at keeping the cans & bottles cold. Red wine will be at just the right temperature. Much more civilised than frozen beer!!! Besides I can justify £50 for a coolbox that will get used a couple of times a year, not £400! Not aiming to run the coolbox through the night, just when we are driving, or may think about getting a 12V rechargable power pack for keeping going through the 1st part of the night. ISTR Discocuzzy used this on the June Tunisia trip with good results??? Honda Dog U better DUCK!!!!!

Spot on, mate. Ignore the riff-raff in the cheap seats on the other thread. They're just envious of your ability to turn adversity to your advantage. Shall I bring lead crystal glasses? We can't drink decent stuff out of plastic or tin.

Have proper vino glasses already packed with the food!!! I'll eat the food out of the rat pack bag but draw the line at drinking vino out of the bottle or from plastic cup (unless there is nothing else!).
Planning to buy 12 bottles for the trip, told Mrs DSL not to expect any to make it back to home! Honda Dog U better DUCK!!!!!

The results were erm...........sh te DSL, we were winding you up!!
Dont bother with a cool box unless you are keeping soup warm, borrow Bodsys fridge and leave the coolbox in Halfrauds..absolute waste of time mate...you can have mine for free!! "you cannot teach stupid people to do clever things"
