Tunisia October 2008

Yer, I know it's early Rolling Eyes but to avoid getting stiffed with yet more fuel surcharges (the June trip has cost me £250 per vehicle Big Cry ) I want to get the ferry booked by the end of July at the latest. Dates are not yet fixed, let me know if you prefer early, mid or late October and I'll go with the majority. Routes will probably be a mixture of the Feb. & June trips with a bit of the unknown thrown in, as before, a standard Disco3 will be more than capable Cool
Cost will be circa £1750 dependent upon fuel surcharges, including ferry from Marseilles to Tunis and three hotels in country. A deposit of £800 will be required by the end of July....

.... more details to follow Wink

I'm in Thumbs Up Not sure of Mrs D will be along or not yet as she's just taken on a project to renovate 3 formal gardens by late September and there may be some caretaking to do in October. Sad

I've put mid October, but will fit in with the majority vote Cool

If you get one now, the fuel saving will go towards the cost of Tunisia Idea

Just trying to work out overall cost for the trip, any of the Feb 08 peeps remember how much diesel was there. I've tried a google search and http://www.mylifeoftravel.com/ViewJournal....a01891fd7e suggests about 30 ppl (740 millemes) in Jan. Sound about right??

Fuel costs were about 45ppl, with three tank fills in country and one in France. Dont worry about the pace, it's definitely not a 'hooning tour' Wink - and what makes you think you'd be allowed to carry all the beer? Shocked
