We fitted a set two weeks ago to one of our long standing customers and he likes them better than the Scorpions he had befor, the only negative is the fact he has a gravel drive and he has noticed more stone pick up.

He says they are not at all noisy and thinks there wet weather performance is better, I did point out that they were NEW and his old ones were well down on tread depth.

I think they fit in between the Scorpion and the AT2.

Regards

I believe the question was how do they stand up to off road use

Yes there will be less road noise than a MTR / AT2 as the pattern is way less aggresive but is it enough to be a true "All Terrain" with BFG's & General AT2's its got a very hard act to follow I think.

Yes, I would agree with you.

I always say that the AT2 is the best of both worlds and it would be my choice, we will just have to wait for the NEW 255/55x19 AT2, Whistle that should please lots of people Thumbs Up

Shocked 19" AT2? With a shallower sidewall it should lose some of the wallow of the 18s. I like Thumbs Up

Agree with you Ken, but:

I think that toooooo many choices would mean even more confused people, and more stock for me to hold, f Censored k, and more space to find.

Nothing against choice but would be nice to have some quality.

If BFG could bring the quality up to General standards I would be a happy person, it would be good for my pocket if we did not have to put so many tons of weight on them to ballance them, General are a lot, lot better to ballance. Thumbs Up

I'd say the other way round we have a few ML's on BFGs with no issues but the generals on the Pickups caus us issues all day long

Space never an issue here Whistle

The Generals are better than BFG's on outback roads and tracks. Less cutting and chipping. I was a BFG AT man until now. The general consensus is that BFG standards have dropped in the last few years.

DESERT TRAVELLER,

Having ballenced more AT tyres than I have had hot dinners over the last 20 years I have to agree with you. Sad

WHY won't Michelin who own BFGoodrich get something done about it ? I have sent e-mails and made numerous phone calls on this subject, don't get me wrong I very much like the BFG AT tyres and would love to see a big improvement on there quality. Big Cry

One of the worst must be the 235/85x16 AT KO on the L/R Deep Dish alloy, "how much weight is on there" some of my customers ask, we now send the very bad ones back under complaint with a 100% succes so far.
