Yes, It can be done to our aussie spec. Strong aussie currency I bought this from Nick only cost abt $65 shipped to Perth. Tool off the wheel and replace this and it work beautifully.
The steering wheel look alot better with that. LOL

Why did you think that it couldn't be done??

I had a set fitted some time back, and although they look the part, the functionality is pretty poor. Can only switch between CD of radio or aux...but don't know what AUX is. and will only go from CD to FM or CD to AM and back. My Mazda can turn the thing on, off, step through CD< FM (1,2, and 3)< AM allfunctions and are grouped better. I don't need high end multi speaker units in the car, however, I do think the base system, at least, is a bit of a rip.

Goodluck. It took me 2 hours to figures out where is the airbag pin but once you got it just like 1 minutes to undo it. U need to really pull your hook so that the airbag will pop out. Remember to disconnect (-) battery.
Let us know if you successful.

I fiited the steering wheel audio controls in a few minutes. It's really easy using the instructions in the related thread. It works great with the iPod dock, which I also got from Nick.

Hi,
What price did you pay for the dock, and where does it fit to? In the picture I cant tell if it mounts to the steering column or the dash.

BUT only after the cars electronics have shut down , wait two mins after keys have been removed from the ignition and the red light on the dash has extinguished. Don't take life me too seriously ..... it's I'm not permanent

Ozberg, I paid a total of GBP159 (about A$320) for the iPod dock including postage and delivery. It comes with clear step-by-step instructions. The only tools you need are a drill, screw driver, a couple of small metric spanners, a couple of different sized torx bits, and a bit of courage as you start to pull the dash apart. There's a unit that fits inside the top glovebox where you can plug in other devices (eg mp3 player, portable DVD, USB key etc); a wiring harness then feeds to the back of the radio; and from the back of the radio to a control module that sits behind the headlight switch block. The iPod dock itself is bolted to the dash. Neil Herbert

Thanks for the reply Herbie. Sounded good until the bolting to the dash bit. I'm only keeping the car for a 3 year lease term so dont want "aftermarket" holes.
