There is 2 screws at the front also ...which have to be removed

To get the stereo out you need to pull off the surround ..grab the bottom and pull hard towards the gear stick ..it will be very tight the first time you remove it.
Then remove all the units from top down ..switch panel , stereo , aircon , ashtray ..all held in by torx screws ...
Some pictures here http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=1536
I didn't take the whole center consul out ..just slid it back and tilt it upwards out of the way

Can anyone tell me if the LR Bluetooth kit interfaces with the base audio CD400 head unit? I can't seem to access the LR Accessory Fitting Instructions online info this morning. D3 TDV6 S 2005 - TorqTune, Privacy Glass, Remote FBH, 19" HSE Alloys, Boot liner, retrofit F&R PDC, RAI
Defender 90 Truck Cab TD5 2003 - Ifor Williams back, alloys (SWMBO's toy - well, one of them )
Toyota Yaris 2008 (SWMBO's company shopping trolley)

Hi, I am considering purcahsing an XS and I don't get the bluetooth option for my phone on this model.
How did you get on with fitting the kit - is it working now, and how much did LR charge for the kit? - the salesman ain't playing ball when I ask him how it's done......
Any help appreciated.

Hi Thanks for the information recieved from Wiggs, i am strgling with trying to find out if I need both modules, I have the XVD500020 and I have noted that is recommended to use the XVD500021, however do I need the XVJ500152 just to allow a Bluetooth connection, i don't want to use the cradle?

You need both modules
The XVD500020 was replaced by the XVD500021, due to software issues .There is a TSB on this and shoud be replaced by LR under warranty.
This part is the control module that links up the steering wheel controls etc to the LR system
The other module is the bluetooth (nokia ) part ...you need both to make the system work.
There has been a lot of kits on ebay which only contain the control module and not the bluetooth part (and the control module is the old faulty part )
bluetooth module is around £151.00 plus vat and the control module is £68.00 plus vat ( discount available if you get from Nick at Yeovil LR)
You do not get cradle connectivity if you by the LR aftermarket bluetooth kit Help get this page up the rankings please

Hi, I think I am slowly getting there on fitting the module, however I have a couple of small concerns, How easy is it to dismantle the steering wheel to fit the buttons? and if I already have the PTT switch with microphone can this be conected to the bluetooth unit, any ideas where the original microphone terminates and can it be extended? Thank you
