Could it be the wheel bearings?
I had a similar thing in a Metro in my younger days. It resolved itself when the wheel fell off on a bend

Because I'm in Scotland.
Clarabella Quote:Not sure what it is but it has good tyres on it and it drives well except for the light steering. Sometimes it feels like it is going to slide off the road. Mostly happens when you go right to left on country roads. Feels like you have hit black ice. Not sure if the car is sliding but the steering goes incredibly light and you begin to clench your bum cheeks.
Exactly the same feeling and symtoms.Tyres have 9 mm thread so no fault there.
Simon , Ill have the Bj's checked on next service Don't take life me too seriously ..... it's I'm not permanent

Had the lower control arm rear bushes replaced and the ball joints, solved the vague steering issue. Getting there is half the fun

Nope not yet C.Wanted to wait until after this weekend.( meet) Traction control is even kicking in when turning 3/4 's to full right , usually on roundabouts or on steep right hand hairpins ..Took off my 19's on Sat to fit my 17's and the rear tyres (inside) were in a pityfull state , down to the wire whereas the fronts were even wear. The suspension feels soft on the LHS but isn't showing any leaning when parked.
i'll be booking it in today. Will give you a bell this week to catch up ,
Cheers ,

Where did you get to? How was Elie?
There was an Irish D3 crawling up the A1 last week, everybody queued behind him until a straight where he was overtaken by about 15 cars.
No DISCO3 sticker so I think he gets away with it DISCO3's Student Correspondent...

Sorry Chris didn't spot this till now.
Had a great time although the weather was hit n ' miss we made the most of it.Basically just used Elie as a base to get about Fife.Plenty of food and drink , then some more drink. Most of what we did was kid related as we all had them with us.Bit of fishing , drinking , golf , drinking , swimming , drinking , etc etc .Cant remember half of the places we visited
Week previous to that was spent dotting about Callander , Edinburgh & West Linton areas.
Need another holiday after it all TBH Might be back over round Octoberish Don't take life me too seriously ..... it's I'm not permanent
