Just wanting to know what brands of dash mats are available in Australia.
And your comments on if they are any good and where you bought them from. Do not take life too seriously no one gets out alive anyway!

Just a "sutpid" question.
Why do you need such a mat?
Is it to protect the dash from the sun? Dust? Arno

well, if you park your car 45C under the sun for 8 hours everyday for work then you will know why we need this.
Yes, Australia can get over 40C during summer.

Is it to protect the dash from the sun? Dust? yes. it is not so much the temperature but the high uv we get here in Oz hence the high incidence of skin cancer etc. dont leave a witness.....................put your foot down.

Sorry but in the UK I will never get 45C.... and for 8 hours neither.
Then the consequences are on the electronic?
Is that the sort of thing that would be needed for anyone doing a Tunisia trip? or some trip in Africa? Arno

SWMBO had one of those Aussie dash mats on here Peugot 307 here in the UK. It took all the distracting reflections away which made for safer driving. Good piece of kit IMHO. I can't say that I've noticed the reflections problem on my D3 but then it's summer here and, typically no sunshine. There used to be a UK distributor but I can't find one now ( by Googling).

Thanks catweasel, I ordered a "coal" coloured one of these today.
BTW cost, including $12 postage, was $56.85.
Just wish I knew about this supplier before Mother's day last month. Neil Herbert

Hi Guys, I'm new to the forum so have been lurking - well actually flat out reading, but the dash mat caught my eye.
The Suppliers page seems to imply they have catered for the passenger side airbag, but does it look like it does in real life?
This is me after finding the answers to all my questions on the forum.
Off to Bribie today for a camping reco mission! ...it's on the other side!
