Just read this on the bbc news website:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7602110.stm
I quote a section "Police have warned off-road driving enthusiasts to be "sensible" during the "inclement weather" after others were later found driving the same track where the girl died. "
Have fun

Not sure why that was posted that in this thread as the track has nothing to do with news story
TBH the experience and wealth of knowledge at the track today is second to none Andrew and crew always have safety in mind Is it me or do I sense a story of impending doom

And they did
Drove around some very difficult areas (especially being the only one there on road tyres). And believe me, Andrew knew who was in the convoy and where they were in the convoy.
Alex was at the rear, or in front of me... which was nice in case I got stuck (didn't though ).
We stayed well away from any potentially dicey parts.
Any challenge / obstacle that potentially could lead us into trouble damage wise was either avoided or tested out by The Red Pearl before hand.
Top site, top guidance.
Nice to see the new ride Ken... very good looking for a non D3 LR

And Uncle got there OK, slept in the excellent Earth House through the monsoon's last night. Lit a good fire to keep us warm too
CW and family turned up after a while due to floods diverting them all over the place... and they were taken for a tour of the place by Team Andrew.
Some are staying tonight in the Earth House, a few others at a local campsite.
Some have just been for the day like me.
Tracks were 'interesting' and the water features very full Was 'drivable' where we went on Scorpions with a little more effort than usual Bumbling and sometimes slithering behind the more appropriately attired others was a hoot
The Earth House is amazing - and so too AlexE's Oak framed loo.
Rain held off for most of the afternoon and we actually saw some blue sky and white clouds for a bit..... then is rained again
Great day, great people, great site.

Sounds like great fun - wish I was there. The round house sounds brilliant - telling my missus all about it today as the photos look great. Next time... but I'm still paying the price for destroying the side steps last time out and a severe case of bramble rash

Great day and thanks to all
Round House is especially welcome, when the Welsh weather chucks its worst at you.
Have to admit the drive back was kinda fun, with lots of roads full of water and lots of people in normal cars deciding to brake as they were going through the flood water

Yup
Have to admit to being blinded by a wall of water once or twice on the way back - wipers couldnt cope with the spray

I find that by imagining where I'd like the road to be in those situations usually helps

well i decided that i should also wimp out and leave the hard cores to it, it was a great laugh in the rain as everytime you go to the track you have to deal witth different situations, same terrain, but different if you know what i mean....
nice one dunc for being the first to navigate the new bottom track, it looks a fair bit easier than it is, and it did a really nice job of covering my car in !
always a pleasure seeing you guys out and about, so until next time I'm Powered by........Diesel
