| Take care when changing a wheel |
|
Here is a tip for how to give yourself a hernia by changing a wheel. The secret is to pull upwards, really hard, on a wheel brace. That will do the trick nicely - certainly worked for me.
Apparently, if you would rather avoid all sorts of discomfort and appointments with knife wielding surgeons, only ever push downwards on a wheel brace.
Wish someone had told me that a couple of weeks ago.

I've been known to stand on wheel braces to get the lug nuts off before...
Granted I'm sure someone will chime in and condemn this as a bolt-weakening dangerous activity, but no problems yet! I'll let you know when one of my wheels falls off..

Do yourself a favor and buy this wrench insteed of the crappy LR's mini wrench, this should decrease the chance of getting hernia, already done the surgery one year ago
Do a search on ebay, and don't forget to buy the correct socket size for the lug nuts (am not sure but I think they are 22mm) '05 LR3 HSE V8 - Adriatic Blue - Larini Exhaust System - Lamp Guards - Dual battery system - Hidden 12k winch - Rasta Sump Guard

I've had a cross shaped brace (with 4 different sized sockets on each end) for years - great because you can push AND pull at the same time. Steve N | 2006 TDV6 S Auto in Buckingham Blue | Member of the top ten club | Am I online?

if you (or your service station) tighten the screws according the manual, you don't need an extension at all.
and your back wont' hurt. Some people get by
With a little understanding
Some people get by
With a whole lot more
