It was raining today... my sat nav told me!

On the way home from Stoke today in the very heavy rain, a little red square with an umbrella appreared on my sat nav... Presumably to warn me of spray on the motorway... I never knew it did that!

It's just the fitted sat nav with TMC... in nearly 3 years of driving the car it's the only time I've ever seen it. On the same journey a grey box appeared along with a voice prompt telling me of heavy congestion, did I want to select an alternative route adding 5 miles to journey... yes or no... Never had that before either.

Maybe I need to get out more. Shocked

AVE - mine's got TMC and I often see the little red man but it's usually telling me of road works ahead.... It's never warned me of rain (the wipers coming on do that.. Very Happy )

I've had the option to re-route several times (it's a setting in the menu if I remember rightly) and it works really well - it's got me out of long jams successfully.

For me TMC is well worth the effort if you have to navigate our motorways on a regular basis.

Isn't it bad luck to open an unbrella indoors Whistle I do love the ways that the D3 tells us it's raining and they're far more successful than the over-paid weather people on TV Laughing Laughing
