Hi all
Been a lurker whilst I decide on which Disco to buy...anyways I was shocked to find out that the Disco 3 doesn't have seat heaters. For my wife this is a deal breaker as she's had this with her VW for 6 years...
I've been told 2007 HSE's have? Can anyone confirm or tell me the truth, as the one model I wanted - 2006 SE I was told had seat heaters only to find out...
Thanks

Maybe the spec is different for South Africa, but here in Blighty the SE and HSE come with heated seats.
The SE, front as standard and rear as an option... the has HSE front and rear as standard. Disco 3 TDV6 HSE

ISTR that the SE now only comes with front heated seats ....in years past even the S had heated front and rear seats ....this is in the UK anyway. Warmer climate might find its been deleted from higher spec models altogether..but you can order factory fitted I'm sure Powered by............................

I made the assumption that all leather lux cars have seat heaters. In SA even the S has leather.

Alas, MY08 HSE does not have seat heaters. I inquired about it & was told that in order to keep the price down it is not available in SA, similarly with the interior alarm motion sensor! I think we need that more than any other country! Ren Colyn

Are you sure about that - one of the dogs loves the car and unlessI press the remote twice when loocking the car she sets the alarm off

Heine do you have the sensor on the ceiling as per the handbook? Also what year model is your D3? Mine definitely does not have it! Ren Colyn

What is MY06 etc? May 2006? I've often seen MY## is that the month when LR does "improvements" each year? Back to the topic do your wives not freak out without seat heaters - provided they had it with another car?
I've also been told the warmer climate thing, but it's all relative. For us in Jhb our summers are 30-37C and winters...well last night was around 6C. The leather chairs in her golf were cold but thankfully seat heaters...I'm not a fan of hot air as it makes the car stuffy.
Unless I can come up with an argument that the leather in a Disco never gets cold?!

MY06 = Model Year 2006. Not necessarily new in 2006 as would have been on sale for a good chunk of 2005. Honda Dog U better DUCK!!!!!

You're right DG - the S had heated seats front and rear until at least July 06 (when mine was built). Cloth seats though.
