unlikely as it's says in the intruction book that 4gb is the max size I'm afraid Sad

I can see the ipod, usb and aux connectors, I take it they all go off to another box somewhere? and what does that connect to ?

correct...

the last kit could only do 2gb
 You want it for how much !!!!!

.....although, interestingly just plugged my 8GB N95 in and it works no problem in 'data transfer' mode, ie memory stick mode Thumbs Up

Limits are usually as the kit does not support a later file standard. FAT16 from the old dos days for example is limited to a 2GB file system (or 4GB if you use funky settings that not all systems can read).

This is with a file system access method, i.e. the kit sees the memory stick like it was some storage.

I think if you plug a phone in, like a N95, it acts like a mass storage device, which is a different type of connection to the kit, and the phone sees the storage, then presents it out so you overcome the limitation.

So probably a 8GB mem stick would not work where a 8GB phone would.

well seems with a 2.5" external USB drive if formatted with a FAT32 filesystem, it works fine up to just below 32GB Thumbs Up ,
 global warming my ars...!!!
