| New Ipod Connection Kit Just Arrived |
|
Hey Guys,
i promised i'd let you know when it arrived.
New kit is without the cradle now so ipod can be stored in the glovebox, centre cubby...where ever you the cable will allow you to reach.
Still has the Aux input and the RCA and USB connection.
This is a list of the Items it will take...If yours is not on the list then it will still connect, just has been left off the literature.
Also the next ipod Apple release what ever that is should also work, clearly we have not seen it yet but as long as Apple keep their generic connector and do not completely change their software and operating philosophy it will function.
Gen 4 (Photo), Mini, Gen5 (Video), 30,60 and 80gb, Nano Original Gen1, Nano Gen 2, Nano Gen3, ipod classic, itouch and iphone.
Retail £183
Disco3 Price £145.70
P+P £4.50 to Uk
i can send to all destinations now but postage will have to be worked out before hand

rec'd mine last week, thanks Nick fitted in half an hour on Sat, no problems apart from, unless I missed the point somewhere, requires an unfeasably short/right angled screwdriver to fit the glovebox connectors in place, hence the two extra holes in the bottom of this pic which are awaiting grommits... or any other similar sized fictional dog

the steering wheel controls do track/library up/down etc but there is no display, so you have to know how your ipod (or USB memory stick) is organized if it's tucked away, you can change it still on the ipod itself but I found in the brief test that there's a bit of lag between them, no idea if this is what's supposed to happen I'm afraid ! global warming my ars...!!!
