Anyone got the half height (non LR) dog guard - think its distributed by Britpart, usually about £90
Do they fix securely?
Do they rattle or vibrate?
Could you strap loads of stuff to one?
The half height format may suit my needs better than the full LR product, but looking for some feedback first.

I have one and it works a treat - no movement or rattles/squeaks. You'd be surprised how many times you carry lond stuff in the back.
Only problems is dog hair all up the back of the seats.....

Well pleased with mine - it's well made and easily fitted (when you've worked out which way it's supposed to go!!).

Very happy with mine. No rattles, squeaks or anything and with plenty of practice can be fitted/removed in under 3 minutes.
I've never strapped anything to mine but I have had my little girl hanging off it like it's a climbing frame without it moving.
If it's going to go in and out like a small child on a snowy day, here's some tips:
1. Fit a glove of some sort over the black 'feet' that meet the side pillars. I'm using some socks off a 3 month old child (I'll give 'em back one day honest!). The black feet will mark the interior trim if they touch it during installation (it's a fine black plastic dust that the trim grinds off the feet; if it does happen most of the mark can be removed with a stiff brush).
2. Lubricate the screw thread on the rods that attach to the D rings in the floor. Obvious really but without it the thread wears quite quickly when repeatedly tightened/untightened. Give a man a fire and he's warm for the day. But set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life.

Dave - is a half height dog still called a puppy?
Or are we talking about a beagle-sized dog - not as small as a Jack Russell, nor big as a bull mastiff...
Sorry, it is Friday night here and the red vino is kicking in!

i have one too... and it's brill. not a squeak.
also have 'up and over; (company that makes them) tailor-made covers for the loadspace - they suck up all the dog hairs, and they're machine washable. i unvelroed them a few weeks back and spotless underneath.

I was wondering the same thing... Dacshund?? But it would walk under the dog guard. Surely it would only effectively guard against double height dogs ??
(think I need MORE vino)
Good job I only want it as a luggage guard! D3 number 3: 08 TDV6 SE Stormygrey /owlpacker
