I think a lot of those liking the idea of moving to France would find that to be very, very true!
What seems fine when you're on holiday is an entirely different kettle of fish if you have to live and work there. The administration is horrendous, there is no concept of customer service whatsoever, costs are nowhere near as low as you may think, the conformist culture and backward approach to everything drives you totally mad every day, etc,, etc.
Still, reading all the comments form those in the UK, I'm not coming back just yet if I can help it
